Black Mangrove

Avicennia germinans

It seems that these mangroves are a test project: Mangroves are not native to Kuwait. Sadly, this area - as so many others - is full of trash, plastic bags and plastic bottles. These photos were taken at one of our beach clean-ups. Just a small project to help Mother Nature in hopes that it raises awareness and maybe results in something bigger. This littered beach was right in front of the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research. One of the places you think would care o their environment?
