You are right, I hadn´t noticed it. I have some older pictures of these plantas, I´ll look for them and up load them to check them out.

Are those flowering stalks coming from the sides of the rosettes (and not from the centres)?

The leaves are about 50 cm long (2 feet long)

These look like an Agave species (something like Agave attenuata or Agave celsii) but it's difficult to tell the scale in the photo. How big are they?
