I'll try to give the important bits of info :) I'm certainly no expert. The echidnas and platypus are the only monotremes. They are actually egg laying mammals. The second photo he is burying himself in the grass as defence, just tucked everything in and wriggled down. Amazing how stuck they actually get themselves.
