Varanus salvator
OK, best if you can download the pic to a pc and then upload it again from there, do you have that facility?
avbaga, both these photos are crops taken from the same picture, why not just post the entire picture?
Hi, all! I add one more photo with his head. Hope it will help you to ident this reptile.
from it's brown color i suggest it's a bengal monitor water monitors are mostly black
For information, the Komodo is a member of the Monitor family and an alternate name is Komodo Monitor. Monitors can grow to over 3 metres (10 feet) and have a habit of resting in small depressions under dead leaves. I can be unnerving if you walk past one and disturb it in the jungle.... I know!
I have seen one in north Sulawesi but by the time I had my camera at hand it took off in a hurry.
It would have been a lot easier if the head was showing but I think it is a Water monitor.
I agree it is most likely a Monitor, Komodos do not live there. Pity about the missing body parts!
I don¨t think is a Komodo Dragon,Komodos only live in Indonesia in the Komodo Island no in Sri Lanka India.
Nice spot
Looks like a Monitor is like a big lizard
Will be good idea to have the photos whit a completed body for ID.
