The black-winged kite, also known as the black-shouldered kite, is a small diurnal bird of prey in the family Accipitridae best known for its habit of hovering over open grasslands in the manner of the much smaller kestrels. This one was seen as the sun set in dry bushland north- east South Africa

Hi Tukup. Yes taken with a bridge camera with zoom. My world opened up when I was given a camera with a good zoom facility, even though I am pretty much point and shoot person!. I particularly like this kites eyes, as if it was wearing makeup and about to go out.
