Description:

The Pin Cherry Plant is a flowering shrub or small tree. It generally has a straight trunk and a narrow round crown. It has long narrow dark leaves. There are delicate white flowers in the spring. Bees like the Pin Cherry’s flowers in spring and birds like the fruits in fall and the deer like browse leaves and bark in the winter. Also the Pin Cherry’s fruit are edible. It can grow up to 49ft tall. The colors a Pin Cherry fruit comes in are red and yellow. It has many nicknames it is called like Bird Cherry, Fire Cherry, Red Cherry, and Choke Cherry. The Pin Cherry can be called a Fire Cherry because after a forest fire, it is one of the first to bloom. The scientific name for it is Prunus Pensylvanica. The range of this plant is Mid West/USA.
