I was getting only a few Chickadees and Nuthatches once in a while. Then the woodpeckers (Downy and Red-headed) began visiting. So I put 3 out and up into the trees about 6 ft from the ground. That increased the variety who are attracted to the suet. I use plain suet with corn bits mixed in. I tried the berry mixture and it was gone in half a day....too expensive... but happy birds!

Very pretty! All I get at my suet feeders are Starlings and an occasional chickadee or Pygmy Nuthatch. I jealous!
