Sea Lion

Zalophus californianus

Description:

I wish I had a better camera. Sea lions are one of my favorite animals. The large pod in the water are swimming around a giant jelly fish. They don't seem to feel the stings or care. Also I got a good look at the sea lion's flippers; I was always told their closest relatives are the bear-their feet look like bear feet with flippers extending from the end.

Habitat:

The California coast
