orange peel fungus? Aleuria aurantia

Description:

some sort of slime mould? it's been here since last autumn, living through night temperatures of up to minus 11C.

Habitat:

bare patches in grass, but until recently the area was planted with shrubs and perennials, so there will still be roots in the ground it might be living off.
