Please consider adding this spotting to the new North American Bat Tracker mission at http://www.projectnoah.org/missions/1830...

The bat was not 8-10 inches, it was actually very small but I am not sure if this was an adult or not. I did not remember to measure him but he looked about 3-5 inches long. I found him hanging in my fort, paralyzed or he was dead, I'm not sure.

Was this 8-10 inches?

Hard to tell the size from the shots but the ears, nose and colouration look like it could be a 'big brown bat' Eptesicus fuscus. They are 6-8cm in body length. :)
