Description:

This fungi I spotted at the foot of a tall pine tree in my friend's yard was the size of 12 inches across both directions and 1 inch thick. I observed it in the late afternoon, and by the next morning it was no longer present by the tree.

Habitat:

The foot of a pine tree, in Quinton Virginia.
