Taken in Carrollton, TX. Sorry that this is the only photo. Face appears too pale to be a red-tailed hawk. It was eating prey - perhaps a rabbit. My mother took this photo (her first photo to take since 1953!) and e-mailed it to me - so this is as good as it's going to get. :)

To me it looks like a Cooper's Hawk (Accipiter cooperii).
