Pussy Willow

Description:

Fuzzy gray buds on brown stems (some curly). Height about 10 feet.

Habitat:

Full-part sun, thrives in wet soil, especially along pond and stream edges.

Notes:

These are willows I rooted 3 yrs ago from cut stems. They are planted at the bottom of a slope below our septic leach field where the soil is saturated almost year round. They grew from about 24 in stems to their current 10 ft height in 3 seasons.
