Andaman Coucal

Centropus andamanensis

Large crow pheasant. Fawn or dirty white and rust coloured feathers. Eye is red and "beady". Strong legs.

A pair was foraging on a plot of waste land near the hotel. One immediately disappeared into the bushes, this one gave me half a moment to click. It has a restricted range but appears to be doing OK.(

First debuted on Project Noah : This one is another individual. Also called Brown coucal.
