Congratulations MacChristiansen! Your spotting has been chosen for Project Noah Fact of the Day:"When mature, the bridal veil fungus grows an amazing lace-like “skirt” hanging all the way down from its cap. The skirt carries the scientific name of indusium, and has a protective role. Also known as bamboo fungus or long net stinkhorn, the bridal veil fungus is saprobic (this means it takes nutrition from decaying organic matter). The bridal veil fungus has a cosmopolitan distribution in the tropics, and is edible.
