Ring-necked Duck

Description:

In front of the Canadian Geese is a small flock of Ring-necked Ducks. They are uncommon. Usually seen in small flocks on wooded freshwater ponds. Note tall head with sharp peak at rear crown; in flight, broad gray stripe in upperwing. White outline on bill and white spur on neck.

Habitat:

Freshwater ponds.
