Porites astreoides
Photo take at -35 feet in a Caribbean Reef this a common coral that has a variety of colors from mustard to bright green beautiful star polyps.Colonies plate-like in shallow, surging water, but forming rounded heads and domes in deeper water. The surface is lumpy and covered with closely set corallites, giving the colonies a porous appearance. Colonies up to 60 cm.
Found from Florida all the Caribbean sea to the North of Brazil.
