Description:

Stout, bright green Katydid with rounded wings. Reddish antennae. Veined wings that resemble leaves. These are the Katydids (the males of this species) that make the sounds, "katy-did, katy-didn`t", that gives these insects their name.

Habitat:

Vegetation on the edge of a freshwater lake. Blydenburgh County Park, New York.
