Description:

•Their teeth form a strong and heavy beak, capable of cracking through hard prey, such as mollusks and crustaceans. •They can swell by swallowing water or air when threatened. •The maximum reported size of this species is 30 cm, but most specimens are much smaller.

Habitat:

Bays, seagrass beds, tidal creeks, mangrove swamps, freshwater areas -I saw this puffer fish in Barra Grande (BA, Brazil)
