Slug

Description:

I spotted this slug dangling from under the eaves ( approx 14feet high) of the house this morning. I just managed to get my camera and take a photo, when, plop, it dropped onto the concrete path below. It was interesting to see the movement on the underside of the slug which was obviously shaken from the fall, but, eventually turned itself over and moved away.

@oxyjack. Thanks for the video clip but i think it could be more to do with the fact that it had just dropped 14feet onto a concrete path : ( ... unfortunately for the slug

I'm afraid I can't help with an ID, but this video clip from David Attenborough's Life In The Undergrowth may help explain what happened here. It sounds like you happened on the slug post mating. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vtgPAQTJL...

You can say that again KarenL. Weird slug though. I did put on a previous spotting. Will look for the reference
