Description:

Stem branched from base. Soft hairs cover palmately compound leaves with 5 leaflets, each up to 1 1/4" long. Numerous flowers in dense raceme are blue and white. White center turns red with age.

Habitat:

Sun on gravely, sandy, sandy-clay, or calcareous soils in fields and roadsides.
