Thank you! Mine was pretty tight and low. Much more rose-like than the images I found, but it is early spring. Sorry about the right crop. I'm going to start taking several shots of subjects instead of looking at things solely artistically!

Looks like common mullein (Verbascum thapsus). Hard to tell on a close-up.
