Hibiscus surattensis
Another spotting of this unidentified plant growing in a different area.
Quite vigorous scrambling plant growing amongst other plants on the roadside
Not okra Michele : ( I have Rosella seedlings growing in the garden now from seed a friend gave me. Very different leaf and growth habit to Roselle and Okra . .... Thanks Andrea
Hmmm ... curious Viv. Flower and fruit 'shape' looks like Hibiscus sabdariffa but leaves are different; not as deeply divided as Rosella. We will keep looking .... :-)
@Nitch I have been doing a little more research but with no luck. Malvaceae definitely but can't find a match for this particular plant
Hi achmmad! It's not Roselle, as I have seen those fruits for sale in the market here, but it is similar. The growth habit of this plant is also totally different. Here is the previous spotting http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/795...
Here is that : http://www.floridata.com/ref/h/hibi_sab..... Just show a little different on stem surface color.
I'm not sure but this one probably Hibiscus sabdariferra (roselle). they often dried to make tea ... :)
