Yes I did. He was back a second night with wings spread so I took another pic and added it then. Thanks for the id help.
It was found near several bags that had were attached to my dog kennel, so I bet you are right. It was under an eastern red cedar.
It probably had about a 2 ft diameter.
Absolutely! And he seemed happy to be there, he didn't want to leave so we tipped the trash can on its side and left him alone.
I'm guessing this is a rat snake, but I'm not sure. He was climbing into this dead tree at the edge of a dried up ravine.
It was outside my office at a camp in North Tx. I think he may have flown into the window, but I'm not for sure.
That's good to know as he was found at the camp I work at. :-)
