Yes making multiple holes 1/4 to 1/2 inch diameter one flew out and I took a picture more inside because I hear a scratching/tapping noise. Thank you!

He actually does have the scalloped edges, I was afraid to get any closer for a better shot fearing I'd run him off. They were very prominent, first thing I noticed actually.
