there are two types of moss in this image. i will suggest the more dominant species that is showing for you.

the few pieces sticking out are a type of lichen called "false pixie cup"

Yes, this is a natural habitat! We go hiking and camping frequently and I just had to photograph the little guy

This isn't my trophy, it's on the outside of a building on highway 17 north heading towards thunderbay.

These are found on many store fronts and houses outside here in the north.
But I will remove it as asked.
The hunting laws in northern ontario are extremely strict so we have been fortunate enough to have never seen such sights.
