A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
I enjoy all kinds of photography, especially insect macro photography. My id is my pet dugong named cabbage who is eating a lettuce :)

Hi Patty.
Yep these birds are wild ones. There are a lot of trees in the area so there are lots of birds. Ranging from Sulphur Crested Cockatoos, Crows (nesting and making lots of noise and chasing the neighbours cat), Kookaburras, Laceneck doves, Indian Miner Birds, Magpies, Top Notch Pigeons (aka the stupid birds, because when they are walking on the road and get frightened, they don't run off the road, they just run along straight in front of you looking back hoping you wont run over them. Eventually they remember they have wings and fly out of the way :)
Nice work Ava T-B :)
And best wishes to your niece.
I've been busy learning ceramics myself lately.
Mainly doing pots and vases. I made a jar with a lid last week. I hope it goes ok in its bisque firing :)
I've spotted this one again after it had finished shedding its skin and have a few more different bearded dragons in the area so I'll post some more photos up this weekend if I get some time :)
Hey Argy Bee,
It does have all of it's legs still. One of them is just bent under the hole in the leaf because it was a really windy day and it was fighting hard to hang on.
Cheers for the info to identify it. I'll adjust that tomorrow.
Much appreciated.
And thanks to Misako and Antonio too :)
Thanks Daniele and Carol.
I'll update the details soon :)
That's a great photo. I like the eye colour too.
Cheers!
Hi Chun,
After you suggested it was a Lynx spider I went through the photos on http://www.brisbaneinsects.com for Lynx spiders, and I thought this one matched more closely to the Elegant Lynx Spider than the Common Lynx Spider.
What do you think?
Regards
Craig.
Cheers! Thanks for identifying this one :)
No problem.
I'll post the photos of the gerbera itself a bit later this week. I'll post a few wider crops of the same photos in just a moment.
Cheers!
