Gorgeous photo of spectacular beetle!
Awesome photo! Goody, I would like to meet/communicate with you. Wondering if we've already met. BioBlitz? Master Naturalist? Please contact me via facebook at SHS ENV SCI.
I still think they're exciting on cedar trees!!! Apple trees . . . not so much!
Blue-eyed Grass, Sisyrinchium montanum
Goody - Thank you SO much for the information! I wondered why the difference in appearance in the eggs. I thought maybe a batch of fertile and a batch of infertile. Didn't think about them being in various stages. I appreciate your input!
These were on different plants, next to one another.
Done! Thanks for catching that, KarenL!
Bayucca - I photographed several Hoatzins in both Peru and Bolivia along the Rio Madre de Dios. I use the term "oxbow", not as a specific location, but rather any lake formed by changing course in a river. Sorry about the confusion.
