Thanks for your comments and links! Yes, I am a Sunny Coast local. This fellow was found whilst on a frog survey conducted for Maroochy Waterwatch. I am their Enviro Project Manager and we run frog surveys throughout the summer for the Council. The sight we spotted this guy is a real hot spot for the Giant Barred's, we were even lucky enough to see a juvenile who still had his tail stump. Great news to see this species doing so well.
