Next time you see one of these birds Chief,you should flush it. it's important to see the flight pattern.This bird would have a white rump in flight.

If you turn the frond there are orange-brown hairs (trichomes) which
give this Fern the name Rustyback.
I've seen one of these in Britain Malcolme.
And Osprey of course LOL
