Looks like a female Boat-tailed Grackle that is all "fluffed up" it does look juvenile or maybe it was wet.

Seems to have a very swollen eye stalk too. Could be a parasite or other problem.
I think you are right. What do you think of Leptoglossus phyllopus. In this bugguide submission there are different instars of the nymphs.

Yes, Greenbrier. Smilax sp. May be S. auriculata. But there's also A. laurifolia, and S. glauca.

This is either S. aloeus or S. Antaeus but not 100% sure which. I'm leaning towards aloeus.
From the look of the wings looks like prey is a Halloween Pennant.
