It's funny, I almost asked you if the box could have come from chile, as they have a very limited range. The video on the link I gave you looks very much like yours. What an amazing find. Do you still have it?

This is adorable. I found a similar species native to Chile called monito del monte, also a marsupial.

I've seen a few different varieties of brown and grey in Northern Illinois. The wings look like a variety of sphinx moth.
