A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
I'm an Environmental Science major, and am fascinated with temperate ecosystems, and their associated non-vascular communities.

its a bit difficult to distinguish from the shading, but these look to resemble a species of Orthotrichum: a very epiphytic bryophyte in North America. Its especially common on hardwoods.
This also looks like P. shreberi. Did you collect these in the same place?
good collection of photos!
P. shreberi grows in fens, flushes, bogs, and other poor wetland areas.
Looks like a species of Bryum.
i doubt this one is brachythecium. It looks allot like a leafy liverwort. You can tell it is a liverwort by pulling one of the tiny leaves off. Most will be bi-lobed it is a distinct feature which sets liverworts apart from mosses. I am unsure of the genus. Nice pics tho.
This looks like it could be a grass to me. The closest moss genus it could resemble would be the polytrichum genus, are you able to get a better picture?
Check out the genus brachythecium or Rhytidiadelphus. Most Mosses are difficult to accurately ID to the species without microscopic feature information. But those genus' should point you in the right direction. Nice observation!
This looks epiphytic, check out the the native orthotrichum species in your area
