Zantedeschia aethiopica is one of the world's most iconic and widely known plants. With its brilliant white spathe (floral bract) surrounding the central pale yellow spadix (floral spike) bearing tiny flowers.

Found in Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, El Salvador, Honduras and Nicaragua in tall evergreen forests. Usually found at elevations around 1000 to 1550 meters as a miniature to medium sized, cool growing terrestrial with 3 to 5 basal.

Found from Mexico south to Ecuador at elevations ranging from 700 to 3300 meters in damp rain or mist forests as a small sized.
