My Dog Long-headed toothpick grasshopper
Long-headed toothpick grasshopper commented on by My Dog Parroquia Taracoa, Provincia de Orellana, Ecuador10 years ago

I suspect this is not Achurum carinatum, whose distribution is limited to southeastern United States; see
http://orthoptera.speciesfile.org/Common...

This is more likely to be Omura congrua, which is found in northern South America; see
http://orthoptera.speciesfile.org/Common...

The colour ranges from light brown to green in different individuals, and females have a wider body than males.
