Thanks for the ID and thanks for pointing out what the hopper mission was for. I'll read the descriptions more carefully on the missions from now on. Newbie mistake.

Thank you for the link. The male is so small compared to her. Let me know if you give her a treat and what you think about it!

I was talking to the Dentist the other day about this spider. She told me the same thing, that the male was usually near by. I'll be on the look out for him. I asked her if she use to catch bugs and throw them in the web when she was little. She laughed and said "oh, I still do". Lol, I taught our kids the same trick. Find a cricket or something that size and throw it in her web. It's amazing watching her catch them and wrap them up.

We love these spiders here. We watched one all last summer. We saw her catch a red wasp and a bumble bee. She made a huge egg sack and we got to see all of them hatch. It was a great experience for our kids.

I'm brand new to identifying mushrooms. I looked at some photos and think maybe the Grisette? I added a new photo so you can see more. Thanks!

Oh, wow! I bet they loved that.
We homeschool so we're always outside exploring.

I have no idea. We went on a trip and when we got home the 1 baby bird was gone as well. It hadn't been long enough for him to mature so something got him or he fell out. We were all sad.
