Yes, Japanese Honeysuckle is pretty, but that is one reason it was used as an ornamental, introduced to the United States in 1906 and spread as a problem invasive plant.
Looking at Pearl Crescent and Alternative ID of Silvery Checkerspot. So far haven't found which is correct.
I also find it fascinating that they used to not be found in this part of Texas but have been moving north more than likely as a result of climate change.
