I found one of these today. Some people say the taste is bland, but I have found if you saute this one in oil and add salt it tastes like a portebello.

Watch out for blue staining boletes, some people get gastrointestinal upset when eating these. For edibles, stick to the regular ones that don't stain blue and don't taste bitter like bitter bolete, yuk ;b They are much tastier when sauteed in butter or olive oil VS eating them raw. This mushroom is also known as porcini (Italian for piglet) and penny bun, among many other names it has been given by people.
