Hello, thanks for the help. I just tried to edit this location. I disabled the auto-location and the blue spot is not appearing anymore. But the green drop that appeared to set the location does not appear anymore. Maybe the phone needs a restart. I'll try that.

if I only fill the scientific name and save the spotting, all names are empty when I reopen it. that's why I prefer to use the common name field. but no worries, I'll do think properly as soon as I find the common name.

hi Daniele, since I first know the scientific name (later on I'll search for the French and Italian common name) I write it somewhere where it is stored. if I write it in the scientific name text field and omit to write something in the common name field, then no name is saved (scientific name is forgotten). That's why I am using the common name box for the scientific name.
