It belongs to the covolvulaceae family which has over 1000 species, although it seems only a few are present in Florida (http://florida.plantatlas.usf.edu/Family...).

Nice one! Looks like a species of the Colias genus, but can't really tell which one.

Thank you ChristineSydes, this one has been puzzling me for a while now, I had never seen it before but there were a few around, on the ground that day. I will have a look in the Hetrodinae family also.
