It looks similar to Red Buckeye (Aesculus pavia), but I'm not sure if that works for your area. They are common here in the south.

There are also many Bur Oak trees in the same area. The leaves on this tree seemed a little smaller than the Bur Oaks overhead. Of course, it's too young for the acorns to help us.

I am not certain, but I think it is a Post Oak, which are common in this area.

I haven't noticed any harmful affects. In fact, they seem to be taking care of the scale bug problem we have on the same tree!
