Hi! I agree with EmilieC that this is a Neoscona species. Since the picture is so clear, you can see a dark dorsal ridge (the vertical depression on the spiderās cephalothorax), which helps distinguish it from Araneus species.

Iād say coach/beach strawberry (Fragaria chiloensis: https://www.pnwflowers.com/images/plants...) vs. wild strawberry (F. virginiensis: https://www.lakeforest.edu/live/image/gi...). Leaning toward the former.
It looks a lot like I. pallida, the pale touch-me-not, but there are 1000 species in the genus. Impatiens pallida also isnāt native to Japan...
