Thanks for all the help with IDs. I'm not a entomologist, and a little new to this. Mind was blown by the diversity in a 1-block park. Enjoying learning about bugs, so bring all the info...
This one turned to square off with my phone camera - bold is certainly the word...
Not sure you can see the scale of this, but it's pretty small - probably about 5/8".
Does that still compute for black swallowtail? I have seen them in this park, so it makes sense.
Undoubtedly - thanks for your help and the correction. Had a hard time finding anything like it.

probably dead. There were so many red aphids on this plant I thought maybe he ate himself to death...
