A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Thanks, Maria. I was hoping to capture the leaves in the second shot with the hopes that someone might be able to identify it.
These are fantastic. I would agree that the third shot is my favorite.
Absolutely. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
It was definitely a vine, but my plant knowledge is lacking. Thanks for the help.
This looks like a scarlet snake or a scarlet kingsnake. But Be careful if you see a cousin that's "red on yellow" which would indicate a poisonous coral snake found in Florida.
Thanks. I was fortunate to turn around just as this turkey flew over me with camera in hand.
Thanks, ForestDragon. I'm going to go with Cope's.
Thank you all. I had never seen this turtle before this trip and now I know why. I actually saw two within a two mile stretch of the river, but unfortunately, I missed the photo opportunity on the first turtle by whom I floated within 4 feet. I still had my camera in the water bag after this weekend's downpour.
I haven't thought about it being a juvenile. What about a juvenile Green Heron?
