The last 2 months I searched the 7 acres I live on and found 60 silk moth cocoons. They are outside on the front porch now.. Last year I found about 7 silk moths mostly Promethea silk moths, but one awesome Male Cecropia Moth.

Yes, this was completely unexpected. I hadn't see any Silk Moths until last year so seeing two species in one year after 5 years of mothing was really quite something.
This is #1 on my wish list for finding this. I found a cocoon last year. I was gone on a trip the day it emerged. I found another cocoon recently and can't wait to see it.
