Pale grey above and rose pink underneath including collar and head exception is a white crown cap of feathers which can be raised, typical strong tightly curved beak, grey feet and legs, grey skin around eyes, a seed eater, loud raucous call, usually seen in small or large flocks, occasionally alone and at times will join groups of other cockatoos or parrots for company, hybrids can occasionally be seen in the wild as it is capable of cross breeding with other cockatoo species.
Found throughout Australia in all environments except rainforest preferring the drier regions and habitats, these ones found in high country woodland forest.
