Marbled Godwit

Limosa fedoa

Description:

Large shorebird with blue grey long legs. Long pink upturned bill with dark tips. Light brown on head, neck, breast and belly. Mottled on back and wings.

Habitat:

Found in mudflats, marshes and along shorelines.

Notes:

Spotted these both in bird sanctuary on Alameda island and in lagoon near Martin Luther King park.
