This small moth had a mottled appearance. There were about four distinct markings on the fore wings and a thin but smudged line bordering the submarginal area. Labial palps were short but pointed.
Antennae were held under the wings.
Spotted under bright lights on a wall. Near a national park.
Looking for an ID.

Thanks for the suggestion. Mine has long labial palps which is absent in the suggested species. Also, there is a good overlap of the hind wings with the thin white submarginal border continuing unbroken. But will keep checking.
Check Furcatrox genus.
This is possibly a Geometrid moth - Ennominae - Nacophorini sp. Needs further researcch.
Thank you so much bayucca - I started going through lepidoptera.butterfly house but they've done something to the site and everything is slow - I have to go through it again- patiently this time !
I hope you're well btw,
Not really sure about the family. Looks similar to Pyraloidea and also Tortricidae. Try these first...
