Description:

shortly after a tropical downpour all the birds came out to sun themselves and dry off their feathers so a lot were splaying their tail feathers in the sunshine, as they were sitting directly in the sun the light showed off their beautiful shimmering colours. This one is a male as he has no white to his front, they are about 9cm long and usually feed on insects and nectar.

Habitat:

Mountainous rainforest of Arima, Trinidad.
