Turquoise Emperor Butterfly

Doxocopa laurentia cherubina

Description:

This medium size Butterfly was stunning with the iridescent in top of the wings, the tiger marks in the inside and the neon green sucker. Today was hot and humid and it seems like some of the Butterflies that never stop by were stopping, lucky for me because I got some pictures. Finally!!

Thank you so much for the ID bayucca, that is the one, and for a change it does have a nice name!! : )

Thank you so much for the ID, KarenL., it did not have the usual spots (eyes) in the upper wings of a Blue Morpho and it was a medium size one not a large Butterfly, will keep on looking!?
